A premium product is one thing, but a partner who thinks along with you is what really makes the difference. When a confectionery wholesaler was looking for high-quality fruit jellies, they found a partner in us who could not only offer a product line containing up to 70% fruit, but also respond quickly to new opportunities and unexpected challenges.

The challenge

Finding a higher-quality alternative, that was the wholesaler's challenge. Many fruit candies (or confectionery with a higher fruit content) on the market contain less than 50% fruit, while some of their customers, primarily bakeries and specialty shops, were looking for confectionery with a more intense flavour. However, an unexpected challenge arose during our collaboration. One of our client's suppliers went bankrupt, which meant that a popular Halloween product suddenly became unavailable. A solution had to be found quickly so that customers could continue to count on the same offering.

The solution

With our fruit jellies, made with up to 70% fruit content, the wholesaler expanded his assortment with a premium product. But the partnership soon grew beyond simply supplying fruit confectionery. With the Halloween product discontinued, we immediately looked for a suitable alternative to ensure continuity of suppy. Although we didn’t yet have the product at that time, we actively contributed ideas and proposed a suitable equivalent. A year later, we developed the missing Halloween product ourselves and added it to our own offering. In this way, we not only provided a short-term solution to our client, but also helped him strengthen his range for the long term.
